Anand Radhakrishnan, based in Mumbai, is an artist and illustrator. His attention to detail and loose energetic inking results in a stunningly unique, organic and dynamic style.
Entering comics from a fine art background, Anand made an immediate impact in the industry with frequent and fruitful collaborations with writer Ram V. Their first major project together, Grafity’s Wall, was published by Dark Horse Comics in 2017. Just two years later, they would team up again for another graphic novel at Image Comics, Blue in Green. The book would go on to be a tremendous success, earning Anand and colorist John J. Pearson (another Kinetic artist) Eisner Award wins for best Best Painter/Multimedia Art team.
Since then, Anand has continued working with Ram on Radio Apocalypse as well as Batman: Urban Legends. He has also established himself as an accomplished cover artist, creating works for DC, Boom! Studios, and Image Comics on titles such as The Deviant, The Department of Truth, The Nice House on the Lake, Swamp Thing, Aquaman and more.
Currently, Anand is drawing a yet to be announced major DC project; once again with Ram writing. He is also working on a pair of personal projects. Kuntham, which is an umbrella term for a series of self-initiated illustrations and paintings, explores themes of eroticism, mutation, metamorphosis and a little bit of world-building. He is also in the early stages of a creator owned project, both written and drawn by himself.
